Money, Money, Money, Monnay!

Man the polls where crazy yesterday, the masses were waiting in lines in efforts of casting their votes for the 2010 mid-term election. After spending more than 72 million dollars on his campaign republican Rick Scott wins the race for Florida’s governor, replacing Charlie Christ beating out democrat Alex Sink by a 1-percentage point lead. Neither candidate had the best track record, but one could argue that Scott brought his way into the winner circle. He successfully overwhelmed his close competitor with a vicious advertising (Marketing) attack through the media, which in turn helped “sank” Alex Sinks’ battleship. Which yet again proves, It’s not what you know; yet moreover “How deep your pockets go”.

Going Greens!
Going Green
Sunday September 26, 2010 members of FarAway Life made the conscious decision to volunteer at 1 of 7 nurseries owned and operated by Urban-Paradise Guild, an organization dedicated to re-creating native habitats in the Urban areas of Miami-Dade County, and to promote sustainable models for healthy living that safeguard, enhance and integrate the human and natural worlds for the benefit of both. The organization Executive director Sam Van Leer is hard at work daily to insuring that these ideas are not ignored, and that subtle changes are made in our society. UPG will be attending the Green Fair at Miami Dade’s Wolfson campus on September 29,2010 with the Earth ethics institute. So stop by and learn about opportunities with UPG! Here’s a Link to UPG’s homepage http://www.urban-paradise.org/. You can find information on upcoming events, and on how to become a volunteer. Young people, come close, closer, It is important that We get out and support groups like this, after all this is our planet and we are the generation that has to deal with the decision made on. With that being said if something isn’t done now, at the current rate of damage that’s being done, would you want be living in the mess?
